East Harbor State Park
Course location
Lakeside Marblehead, Ohio
Headline
Heavily wooded with tight fairways and demanding shot shapes
Description
Heavily wooded course located in a popular state park, with large campground and other family friendly activities. Course plays inland from Lake Erie, with a small pond somewhat in play on holes 2 and 10. Course is dedicated to disc golf, with little cross-interaction with other park users and easy access for parking. Course returns near parking lot after holes 4, 9, and 18. As expected with a woods course, this course plays more difficult in the summer foliage than in the winter. Some hole designs encourage/require a placement throw to a landing zone, best with a midrange or putter, before driving on the second throw. Great course for working on shot shaping and how to break down holes. It will make you think and play differently. Beginners will find more success in discing down for accuracy. 18 holes, plus practice tee next to parking lot. Pars on signs aimed at recreational skill level.
